Post-Christmas Blues.

Dear Journal,

This week has to be one of my least favourite weeks of the year.

The excitement of Christmas is over. The exhaustion has set in. I got way to hyped up for Christmas, as per usual. I didn’t expect anything less!ย All that preparation, arranging the decorations. All of the gift buying, the gift wrapping. The biscuit and cupcake baking. As well as the nail painting has all come to an end.

And now it’s over. This week between Christmas Day and New Year is possibly the most depressing week of the year. Soon people will be taking their decorations down. The streets will return to their normal state. The lights will no longer brighten up the street when you go outside.

I really don’t know what to do with myself. I wish it could be Christmas every six months at least. ๐Ÿ˜€

Now it’s time to prepare for the new year. I will be making a lot of personal changes next year. I’m excited to see what will come of those changes.

How do you usually spend the time between Christmas Day and New Year?

  1. Honestly I feel the exact same, and New Year’s Day doesn’t hold much excitement for me either.Followed,I’d love it if you could follow me back,I’ve nearly hit 250 followers x

  2. Great post. I think so many of us can relate. We get super hyped and go through our rituals, then there’s nothing that fun or exciting to look forward to, so it feels like a crash after the happiness high!
