Hey there, I hope that you’re having a great Sunday. It’s been such a long time since I’ve posted here. Life has just kinda got in the way and the more time that has passed, the more and more I felt anxious about posting.
I guess I should start by doing a re-cap about what I’ve been up to.
Christmas was amazing. Josh and I spent our first Christmas in our own place. We went to Josh’s mum’s house in the afternoon and we also stayed over. We played lots of family games, ate lots of good food and we also exchanged presents. On boxing day we went to Ramsgate to spend the day with Josh’s dads side of the family. We had a late Christmas with my family early Jan.
We went to a New Years Eve party which was so much fun. We played lots of games and maybe one or two glasses of Prosecco. Lol.
I spent January working out in the gym, working lots of hours at work and working on some of my new years resolutions. I will talk about them in a post early next week.
Last week I had a long awaited operation on my foot so I’ve been resting up whilst it heals. So that means, no walks, no gym and pretty much not doing anything for at least the first week. I’m back at the hospital tomorrow and hopefully they will be removing the cast and fitting a shoe so I will be able to walk on it.
But yeah, I just thought I would check in and say hey. Let me know what you’ve been up to and if you’ve set any new years resolutions. I would love to know what you guys are challenging yourselves to do this year!
Blogmas is officially over but it doesn’t feel right not uploading a post today.
Today has been great, I’ve had a great time. I’ve said this numerous times but Christmas is my favourite time of year.
Christmas generates a lot of hype! For me at least I love the the excitement as Christmas is approaching. Although I love Christmas, I do feel incredibly deflated once Christmas is over.
It’s been great spending Christmas with Josh, I really hope that this time next year we will be living together. I’m ready to move out and have my own space. I want to have the chance to decorate my own place as well as the sense of achievement you get when you have your apartment and responsibilities.
I feel kind of ashamed to admit this, and I’m not really sure why as it’s not something I should feel badly about. This evening I started to feel really overwhelmed. I think I just became really tired and frustrated. I could feel my mood sinking and I just felt like I needed to escape.
I decided that I would take a bit of ‘me’ time and take some time to collect my thoughts. Afterwards I started to feel a bit better. I decided that I would write a quick journal post to write down how I’ve been feeling.
Today is Christmas Eve! How quickly has December gone?
Blogmas is coming to an end, I cannot tell you just how sad I am about this. I’ve really enjoyed writing a post everyday. I feel that it has really kept me focused and motivated. I will be definitely doing Blogmas again next year.
I’m not sure whether or not I will be writing a post tomorrow. However I will be sharing my Christmas day over on my Instagram, so be sure to head over there to follow my day!
This morning, Josh and I got up early and headed over to a local restaurant for breakfast then we took a nice walk back to his mum’s house.
Today has been pretty relaxed to be honest. His family loved the cupcakes I made so that made me feel happy.
I’m very nervous to give Josh his presents, I really hope he likes them!
Today has been crazy busy. I got on a train to London at 6:22am this morning.
This Christmas I will be spending the holiday with my boyfriend and his family. I’m heading down a couple of days early so I can spend some time with Josh and his family before all the Christmas madness fully happens.
Presents need to be wrapped and put under the tree. I need to give his family the cupcakes.
It’s going to be a busy but exciting few days! Josh’s siblings are all younger so they really get into the Christmas spirit.
Welcome to Blogmas day 22! Today has been extremely busy as I’ve spent the good part of this afternoon baking.
I decided that I would make four different flavours this Christmas.
I added chocolate chips to the cupcakes to make them extra chocolatey. I topped each cupcake off with some piped vanilla buttercream icing.
I added a few sprinkles on to the top of each cupcake.
I made 48 cupcakes. 6 of them I will be giving to one of our neighbours. 12 of them I will be bring with me on my trip to Kent and I will be giving them to my boyfriends family. The rest of them will be for family and friends.
It’s been so cold in the UK. Over the past month iv’e found myself spending most of my time in fluffy and cozy jumpers. There is nothing I dislike more than being cold. When I arrive home from work I tend to take a shower straight away and change into my cozy clothes.
Cozy clothes and cute Christmas socks are something that I love about winter.
My winter go-to outfit at the minute is either the purple jumper I’m wearing in the image above or one of the two Christmas jumpers that I own. I wear it with a pair of black leggings I picked up from Primark. To top the outfit off, I slip on a pair of these adorable socks that I picked up from Tesco about a month ago.
Today I pretty much finished off wrapping everyones Christmas presents.
I’ve finished them pretty early to be honest as I don’t usually start till Christmas Eve. However, this year I will not have time this Christmas Eve. This year, I will be spending Christmas Eve baking and packing my bags to go and spend Christmas with my boyfriend and his family.
I really don’t want to forget anything so I thought it would be best to pack and wrap everything in advance. It’s one thing less to worry about when Friday comes around.
This week is going to be hectic. I have a to-do list as long as my arm to get done. I’m also working everyday which isn’t leaving me much time to get things done. Friday, I have therapy and after that is when I will start to get everything ready to go.
Where are you spending Christmas this year? Are you all ready for Christmas?
