The Power of Positivity.

Dear Journal,

I’ve mentioned this in a previous post, I’m always guilty of paying too much attention to the negatives in my life and dismissing everything positive.

Over the past couple of weeks I have began to change that. Every time something good happens, or I do something that I think I couldn’t do. I write the positive thing on a piece of paper and put it into a jar.

Writing my positives and achievements down on paper allows me to focus on the positive steps that I’ve taken.

I’ve been having a good week this week. I’ve been motivated, positive and healthy. I’ve been doing yoga most nights. Drinking more water. Eating most meals. Writing in my journal…sometimes haha. It’s made me feel much more optimistic.

When you’re feeling down, stressed or negative I would definitely suggest doing this. It really helps you to see that you have more positive things in your life than you think you do.

Goals Are The Key To Motivation.

For the past couple of years I have stopped myself from saying the whole ‘New Year, New Me.’ thing. The reason is, I have come to realise that there is no use in trying to change yourself entirely. But, there is nothing wrong with a little self-improvement and growth. Especially when you are wanting to grow your confidence.

The way I see it is (this is what works for me. It might not work for everybody, and that’s okay)

Happiness is the end goal.

Productivity is the key to happiness.

Motivation is the key to productivity.

Goals are the key to motivation.

For me, goals are what’s important. Goals are what drives me to get out of bed in the morning. I use my completed goals to measure my success. And when I succeed, the happier I feel. Having something to work towards is what makes me happy. My biggest fear in life is becoming stuck. Whether that’s in a place or in a job that I’m unhappy with. I want to see myself progressing in every area of my life.

I am determined to start the January off correctly. Today, I got up early. I read two chapters of my book (The Twelve Days of Dash and Lily – Written by David Levithan and Rachel Cohn) It’s great so far. I also included it in my December Favourites.

I did some yoga, squats and the plank. I’ve done it for the past few days. I’m really starting to feel it now. But, I’m determined to continue! 🙂 I ate breakfast, walked the dog, made a hot chocolate. I studied Korean for a while. It’s been a productive day so far.

I am determined to make this year as productive as it can possibly be.

I would like to take this opportunity to share with you my new upload schedule. From this coming week my upload days will be Tuesdays and Thursdays at 12pm GMT time.

I’m looking forward to sharing what I have planned for this year.
