Monday Must Have.

Processed with VSCO with hb2 presetToday I want to share something that I’m using more and more. A dry wipe board. Honestly, it’s probably one of the best things that I’ve bought. I bought it for about ten pounds from Amazon sometime last year and I’ve been using it pretty much all of the time.

Myself and my partner use it every week. We use it to keep track of meals, work hours, birthdays and other things to remember. It’s been a great tool for us to organise our time better. My partner tends to work a lot and his hours can be quite spread out, using this board allows us to plan when we will be eating dinner together, when we will have free time to do things together and more.

It’s a life saver! And it’s an organisers dream product! I would strongly advise anyone to get one. It makes everyday tasks and organisation so simple and a lot less stressful.

Let me know if you use anything similar to organise your time.

How is your week going so far? Well I hope!

So today I wanted to share this hand wash with you! I never thought I would say that! I guess I’m a ‘proper’ adult now.

I picked this up from Poundland a couple of weeks ago and I’m in love with it. I know I know, it’s only hand wash but I am the type of person that washes their hands very frequently. So having a hand wash that not only smells nice but that is also moisturising is something that I consider essential!

Do you have a favourite hand wash?

It’s so easy to get into the rut of believing everything that your mind tells you. From experience I think it’s better to always follow your gut feeling.

For instance, there have been so many times in my life over the past year where I’ve thought, “should I do this?” or, “but what if?”

My conclusion is, life is too short to think like that. Go for it! It’s not a good decision, most likely there is another way to look at the situation. There is always a way to ‘fix’ a situation.

  • Keep a positive mind.
  • Do your best.
  • Keep fighting.
  • You can do this!

Thats everything from me! I hope you’re all having a good week this week!

25 Things I’ve Learnt in 25 Years.

Hello everyone! How is your week going so far?

  1. I can’t please everyone.
  2. Embracing who I am.
  3. Finding what I love and doing more of it.
  4. I’m learning to see my struggles as lessons.
  5. I’m learning what the most important things in life are.
  6. Getting my university degree wasn’t all that.
  7. It’s okay that I don’t enjoy drinking alcohol.
  8. It’s okay if people don’t like me.
  9. It’s good to have opinions.
  10. Coffee is as amazing!
  11. Traveling makes me excited but also anxious.
  12. I deserve love and happiness.
  13. I really do love baking.
  14. It’s okay to ask for help.
  15. It’s okay to cry.
  16. I’m learning how to manage my mental health.
  17. I don’t need to be ashamed of my scars.
  18. I find yoga therapeutic.
  19. It’s okay to not stress about the ‘little things’
  20. I have so many amazing people in my life.
  21. Someday I would like to have children.
  22. The idea of marriage no longer scares me.
  23. I will always be sensitive and that’s okay!
  24. It’s okay to take breaks and doing nothing is actually okay!
  25. Keeping a journal has/is very useful for my mental health.

So that’s it! 25 things I’ve learnt in 25 years. Some of the things on that list, I am still working on and will be mostly likely working on them on a daily basis. It feels so good to see the achievements and positives in my life.

At times it can be so easy to get bogged down with the realities of life that we forget to look after ourselves and appreciate the journey that we are taking.

Every decision we make and every tough day we get through is leading to something greater. We need to keep fighting because in the end, we will get to live the life we so deserve.

Enjoy the rest of your evening!

Feel free to share some of the things that you’ve learnt over the years.

The Two Month Update.

I’ve lived here two months already? I can’t believe how fast it’s gone. I feel pretty much all settled in now.

Work is going well. Josh and I are doing great. I’m feeling quite independent and empowered which is great. I think because I moved out then moved back in with my family a couple of times in the past, I forgot how great it is to have my own space and my own routine. I mean, don’t get me wrong I miss my family though, especially my sisters sarcastic jokes!

All in all I’m so happy that I’ve made the move!

I haven’t really talked about on here what happened with my therapy sessions and why I quit. There are a lot of things that I want to write on here that I feel that I can’t right now so I will keep this very basic. Moving away was needed for a number of reasons. Firstly, because of mines and Josh’s relationship. Secondly, I needed to grow as a person (as cliche as that sounds!) I needed to step out of my comfort zone. Although I’ve moved away before, 5,489 miles to be exact! There was something different about this move. I wasn’t running away as I had done previously. It was about building upon the life I had learned to love. For a long time I would use the phrase “I want to start a fresh, or a new life.” But this time, it has been more about moving to a place that I liked the look of, with a person that I love dearly. It’s about sharing and creating a life with Josh as well as making myself proud of who I am and what I have and will achieve.

We only live one life and I want to make it my absolute mission to live it!

I guess what I’m trying to say is, I’ve been in and out of therapy for as long as I can remember and right now I want to live in the present. I don’t want to talk about the past. I do have a lot I need to work on and I do have a lot of things (mostly OCD habits) that affect me daily. But! I’m working on it. There have been many times (especially this week) that I’ve had to sit myself down because I’ve stressed myself out that much about work, about cleaning, about the things I should have done. I care… I just care and obsess about things a little too much sometimes. I will start therapy again, maybe in a couple of months.

I’ve started getting back into exercising and doing yoga. I’ve started taking more time to rest and have self-reflection time. I want to get back into daily reading and drawing. In fact, I have a day off today so I might just do some painting after I’ve cleaned the apartment.

I feel like I’m rambling a bit now. So to sum these two months up? Great! Eventful! Busy! And overwhelmed by just how welcoming and loving the people around me are.

I hope you’re all having a fantastic weekend. Remember to check back tomorrow to see what I’ve chosen for next weeks Monday Must Have.

How’s your Monday going so far?

One of the things I’ve been loving now that I’ve moved out is the amount of candles I can put everywhere. I’m obsessed!

I took a trip to Primark the other week and I came home with about 8 different candles and defusers. What can I say? I just love the apartment to smell lovely. I feel like for the first time since I moved in the apartment is starting to feel and smell like mine.

Do you like to decorate your space with candles?

Hello hello! Today I want to share with you these awesome products that I have not only been loving but I have also been using them every single day.

They are everything I need in an eyeliner and mascara. For a long time I’ve struggle with applying eyeliner. I started off by using pencil eyeliner from Rimmel, which I still use on my bottom lashes actually. I’ve used quite a few liquid eyeliners but I’ve always found them difficult to handle. When I received this one for Christmas I instantly feel in love with it. It’s so easy to use and it stays on all day. I tend to apply a thin line on my top lashes. One day I will learn how to put a proper cat flick!

As for the mascara, I like to have one that really draws attention to my lashes without being too much. I like them to be defined! I have quite long natural lashes so it’s only right to flaunt them lol! I feel that this mascara is just everything I need right now!

I’ve also featured both of these products in my recent post about my Spring Make-up Bag.

I hope that you enjoyed this post. Let me know what eye products you’ve been loving recently!

My Go To Spring Lipstick.

Happy Sunday! I hope you’ve all had a fantastic weekend and are feeling excited and ready for a new week. I certainly am!

I tend to go through stages of wearing lipstick and just sticking to lip balm. With the weather warming up it’s inspired and motivated me to experiment a bit more with my make-up.

Late last year I purchased this high shine lip crayon from Primark. When I moved house I rediscovered it. It’s a strong pigmented pink and I love how it looks on my lips. I have been reaching for this lipstick more and more over the past couple of weeks. It’s going to be one of my favourite lipsticks this spring!

What lipsticks have you been reaching for this Spring?

Today I want to share with you a few of the products I’ve been loving to use before I go to bed. There is nothing better than getting into bed having done a full pampering session on yourself. A few weeks ago I picked up this Clean and Clear blackhead clearing daily scrub. I tend to get a fair few blackheads around my nose area and it makes me feel quite self-conscious. After using this for a few days I could already notice a difference. It’s also worth mentioning that this product is oil free. (hands up if you’re an oily t-zone person) I like to do this scrub in an evening time as i can let my skin breath overnight rather than putting makeup over the top straight away.

There is something so therapeutic about putting a face mask on, lying down on your bed and reading a good book. I know it’s recommended to leave the face mask on for between 10-15 minutes, but I would be lying if I didn’t tell you that it’s likely I leave it on for 30 minutes.

That enough about your face eh? Lets move on to body! I’ve been using (yes I know) another Soap and Glory product. What can I say! They have great products. My boyfriend’s mum bought me this as a Christmas gift and I have to tell you, it is one of the best body moisturisers that I’ve ever used. It smells amazing and it leaves my skin feeling incredibly soft.

I would love to know what products you use for your daily night-time routine.

My Spring Make-up Bag.

Processed with VSCO with hb2 preset

Who’s excited that it’s Friday? Do you have much planned for the weekend?

Today I want to share with you my Spring Make-up bag. These are products that I use on an every-day basis. I would say the products that I’m using now are the best for me skin and I’m very happy with the finished look after using them.

Some of the products you might recognise from one of my previous posts from last year. Yes, some are still the same as to be honest, I’m so in love with the product, I don’t want to change to something else right now.

✨I’m still using Urban Decay’s Naked 2 Basics Palette. I am so. in. love. with all of the shades in this palette and I have been from the moment I bought it. I’ve hit pan on about 4 of the shades and I will be definitely re-purchasing this again soon!

Collections Long Lasting Perfection concealer has been a long time love of mine. I don’t even know how many of these I have used up. It’s a product I make sure I never run out of!

✨Soap and Glory! Now, this is the first time that I’ve ever used their products and I can tell you now they have and will be products that I have in my makeup bag at all times. The eyeliner is just perfect for me. It’s not too think and it’s super easy to apply. It lasts all day which means I don’t have to top it up whilst I’m at work too. I’ve been on the hunt for a great high street mascara for a while now and finally, I’ve found it! Soap and Glory’s Think and Fast mascara is amazing! It allows me to apply the perfect amount of product to my lashes without looking too clumpy.

✨I’m quite lucky that I’m blessed with fairly good skin. My breakouts and very minimal and I’m able to manage my makeup and skincare routines quite well. I do however tend to get a little redness around my nose which I like to even out. I also get quite an oily t-zone which can cause difficulties in finding a good foundation that won’t enhance that. For a lot of time, I’ve avoided using foundations and just stuck the to concealer. That was until I found Loreal’s Infallible 24Hr Matte Foundation and I have to say! Where has this been all of my life? I use it everyday! It covers my redness and because it’s matte, its absolutely fine to apply on and around my t-zone.

✨I love a good lipstick and I’m forever changing brands but there is always one thing that is all of my lip products have, they are all pretty much the same shade of pink. I love pink! I think it goes perfect with my skin tone and it’s not too overpowering that its the only thing you focus on. At the minute I’m loving using Barry M’s Matte Me Up lip paint. It just glides on your lips and lasts all day. I recently featured it in one of my Monday Must Have posts. You can read that here.

That’s everything I’m pretty much carrying around in my make-up bag. I hope you enjoyed reading this post.

Let me know what make-up products you’re currently loving. If you have any product suggestions for me to try out, I would love to read about them too.

Have a lovely weekend!
