How’s your Monday going so far?

One of the things I’ve been loving now that I’ve moved out is the amount of candles I can put everywhere. I’m obsessed!

I took a trip to Primark the other week and I came home with about 8 different candles and defusers. What can I say? I just love the apartment to smell lovely. I feel like for the first time since I moved in the apartment is starting to feel and smell like mine.

Do you like to decorate your space with candles?

Must Have Monday.

Hello hello! Today I want to share with you these awesome products that I have not only been loving but I have also been using them every single day.

They are everything I need in an eyeliner and mascara. For a long time I’ve struggle with applying eyeliner. I started off by using pencil eyeliner from Rimmel, which I still use on my bottom lashes actually. I’ve used quite a few liquid eyeliners but I’ve always found them difficult to handle. When I received this one for Christmas I instantly feel in love with it. It’s so easy to use and it stays on all day. I tend to apply a thin line on my top lashes. One day I will learn how to put a proper cat flick!

As for the mascara, I like to have one that really draws attention to my lashes without being too much. I like them to be defined! I have quite long natural lashes so it’s only right to flaunt them lol! I feel that this mascara is just everything I need right now!

I’ve also featured both of these products in my recent post about my Spring Make-up Bag.

I hope that you enjoyed this post. Let me know what eye products you’ve been loving recently!

Hello everyone!

It’s nearly mid April and I’m sure that a lot of you are thinking the same as me “lets get my body ready for summer!” It can’t be just me?

I used to be quite good at pushing myself to exercise as I loved the feeling that I got when I did an intense workout. However I feel that I lost that discipline over the winter time. With all the cold weather, wintery foods, and chocolate it’s safe to say that I put weight on. It’s really difficult for me to not dwell on the weight that I’ve gained but I’m proud of how I’ve been handling it.

I’ve been getting back into regularly exercising and one of the things that I’ve been focusing on is my arms (I hate them if I’m honest) so that brings me to this weeks Must Have Monday.

These weights! Honestly I’m so happy that I picked them up. They do wonders for toning my arms. I’m starting to feel more confident in myself already.

Enjoy the rest of your Monday!

My Spring Make-up Bag.

Processed with VSCO with hb2 preset

Who’s excited that it’s Friday? Do you have much planned for the weekend?

Today I want to share with you my Spring Make-up bag. These are products that I use on an every-day basis. I would say the products that I’m using now are the best for me skin and I’m very happy with the finished look after using them.

Some of the products you might recognise from one of my previous posts from last year. Yes, some are still the same as to be honest, I’m so in love with the product, I don’t want to change to something else right now.

✨I’m still using Urban Decay’s Naked 2 Basics Palette. I am so. in. love. with all of the shades in this palette and I have been from the moment I bought it. I’ve hit pan on about 4 of the shades and I will be definitely re-purchasing this again soon!

Collections Long Lasting Perfection concealer has been a long time love of mine. I don’t even know how many of these I have used up. It’s a product I make sure I never run out of!

✨Soap and Glory! Now, this is the first time that I’ve ever used their products and I can tell you now they have and will be products that I have in my makeup bag at all times. The eyeliner is just perfect for me. It’s not too think and it’s super easy to apply. It lasts all day which means I don’t have to top it up whilst I’m at work too. I’ve been on the hunt for a great high street mascara for a while now and finally, I’ve found it! Soap and Glory’s Think and Fast mascara is amazing! It allows me to apply the perfect amount of product to my lashes without looking too clumpy.

✨I’m quite lucky that I’m blessed with fairly good skin. My breakouts and very minimal and I’m able to manage my makeup and skincare routines quite well. I do however tend to get a little redness around my nose which I like to even out. I also get quite an oily t-zone which can cause difficulties in finding a good foundation that won’t enhance that. For a lot of time, I’ve avoided using foundations and just stuck the to concealer. That was until I found Loreal’s Infallible 24Hr Matte Foundation and I have to say! Where has this been all of my life? I use it everyday! It covers my redness and because it’s matte, its absolutely fine to apply on and around my t-zone.

✨I love a good lipstick and I’m forever changing brands but there is always one thing that is all of my lip products have, they are all pretty much the same shade of pink. I love pink! I think it goes perfect with my skin tone and it’s not too overpowering that its the only thing you focus on. At the minute I’m loving using Barry M’s Matte Me Up lip paint. It just glides on your lips and lasts all day. I recently featured it in one of my Monday Must Have posts. You can read that here.

That’s everything I’m pretty much carrying around in my make-up bag. I hope you enjoyed reading this post.

Let me know what make-up products you’re currently loving. If you have any product suggestions for me to try out, I would love to read about them too.

Have a lovely weekend!

Happy Monday to you all! How was your weekend?

Today I want to share a couple of things I’ve been loving recently. Spring has just arrived and I have cracked out the blue denim jacket. I picked this up from H&M a couple of years ago and I’m still very much in love with it! It’s slightly cropped so it’s perfect to pair it up with a daytime dress and a pair of sandals.

The second thing I want to share with you are these gorgeous earrings that I recently picked up from Peacocks. They are perfect for Spring and I cannot wait to start wearing these! These are still available, click here to buy.

I hope you have a fantastic Monday!

Hello Spring.

IMG_3811.JPG

The past few days have been amazingly sunny and I’ve been trying to take full advantage of it.

Nothing builds confidence more than a bright, sunny Spring day. I love the feeling of putting on a summery dress a pink lipstick.

✨ It makes me feel confident.

✨ It makes me feel positive.

✨ It makes me feel body-confident.

Recently I have been looking up spring inspiration on Pinterest. I want to change up my style this spring. I’ve been loving my natural curls but I want to change my hair colour a little, maybe some blonde highlights. I also want to learn how to plait my hair. (Any tips on how to do this would be greatly appreciated)

I also want to experiment more with my makeup. I have a greeny colour eyeliner so I’m going to be learning how to apply that, I think that it will look great with my eye colour.

Will you be changing up your style this Spring?

Must Have Monday!

As of this week (I’ve seen a few bloggers do this and I wanted to try too) I will be starting a new series where I will pick one product that I love and would love to recommend to you. None of these posts are sponsored (thought, in many ways I wish they were) unless otherwise stated!

It’s certainly no secret that I’m a through and through coffee lover! It’s only fitting that I have a selection of various syrups in my kitchen. I would say for the past four months I’ve been absolutely loving adding vanilla syrup into my coffee’s.

Click here to the syrups that I use.

I would love to know what you think of these types of posts. So that’s it for this weeks Must Have Monday!

I hope that you’ve had a great start to your week. 🙂

Love Yourself.

I feel like I spend a lot of my time reminding people to love themselves and I find that I neglect to love myself.

Today I’ve been doing a lot of thinking. Its going to be a very emotionally changing next few months. I need to remember to not be too hard on myself. Maybe once in a while I need to cut myself some slack.

✨ I am doing my best.

And if I have a bad day. I need to remind myself of this:

✨ Things WILL get better.

I’ve also been asking myself this (it’s also a quote btw)
“Was it a bad day? Or was it a bad five minutes that you milked all day?”

I’m so guilty of writing off an entire day as a bad day when in fact, realistically it was probably just a bad couple of hours.

Here are a few things that I have tried to remind myself of today:

✨ Always make time for yourself.

✨ Be brave.

✨Be bold.

✨ Value yourself.

✨ Celebrate the things you love.

I hope you’ve all had a fantastic day!

Positive Affirmations.

Screen Shot 2018-02-08 at 9.11.50 pm

Sometimes we just need a few written reminders of just how brave, strong and amazing we can be!

Mental illness can really wear us down and make us both mentally and physically drained. It’s been one of those days for me.

But despite having a pretty bad morning, lots of positive things have come from today. I planned a few big surprise things that will be happening in the next few months. I went shopping with my friend. (she is just adorable and really makes me smile) I’m so lucky to have her! I bought some food for dinners as well as some ingredients to do some baking on my day off on Friday! I also took a bath and did some reading. I’m reading such a cute book at the minute. I admit, I’m a huge fan of the romance books! I’m also planning on going to the gym after work tomorrow!

I would say a pretty positive day in the end!

If you’re feeling down, useless or unmotivated, I highly suggest writing some positive affirmations down. Even if you don’t believe them right away, it’s great to have them as a motivator.

✨ YOU are stronger than you think!

✨ YOU are worthy of happiness and love!

✨ YOU are more incredible than you think you are!

✨ YOU do deserve a break!

✨ YOU can do this!

✨ I believe in you.

I hope you are enjoying your week so far.

Five Things I’m Loving This January.

Processed with VSCO with hb2 preset

I thought I would start doing a roundup of my top 5 products of each month to share with you all. So here are my top five from January.

Nivea – Powder Touch

I’ve loved this product for a good year and a half. It’s one of those products that I re-purchase time and time again. I originally bought it for using after going to the gym but I loved how it smelt and how it left my underarms feeling I decided that I would use it on an everyday basis.

It’s a very reasonable priced product for what it does and I would highly recommend it if you are wanting an antiperspirant that doesn’t feel like you have to apply more throughout the day!

Curl Jelly by Umberto Giannini

I’ve used this product for a few fair months now and I have to say I love what it does to my hair. I’ve always hated how curly my hair is and I’ve struggled to find a product that enhances my curls in a way that I like. I found this product in Boots when I was with my friend and I thought that I would give it a go. I have to say, I’m so glad that I gave it a chance. I will definitely be re-purchasing this time and time again. It leaves me hair feeling clean and full of life. It’s not too heavy on my hair that it weighs it down but is just enough that the curls fall nicely. I’m so pleased with the way my hair feels already.

Clean & Clear – Blackhead Clearing

I was very unsure about this product at first but after using it persistently I’ve really began to see the effects. I often get quite a few blackheads around my nose area and this product has pretty much cleared them up.

Boots – Tea Tree Witch Hazel with Berry facial Scrub

I’ve been looking for a decent facial scrub for a while now and a friend recommended that I give this one a go. I’m glad that I did because it works so well with my skin.

What products did you love during January?
