My Bedside Table Essentials.

Hello! I hope that you all have had a great week and are taking the weekend to just relax and recharge. If you’re working this weekend (like I am) make sure you get some ‘me time’ in during the evening times.

Today I want to share my bedside table essentials with you. I’ve been thinking about uploading a post like this for a while now. I always find it so interesting to see what other people put on their bedside tables.

I would love to know what you have as your bedside table essentials.

Christmas MUST reads.

IMG_1226.JPG

Welcome to Blogmas day 15.

I’ve really been into reading this year. I thought it would only be right to get some cool Christmassy books to read this year.

I actually read ‘The Twelve Days of Dash & Lily’ last Christmas and I loved it. I’ve read it again this year too. I have a feeling that it’s going to become a book that I read every year.

I always picked up:

  • Christmas at Little Beach Street Bakery
  • One Christmas Kiss in Notting Hill
  • Sleigh Rides and Silver Bells at the Christmas Fair

I’m currently making my way through these at the minute. I’m loving them so far. I think I’m going to make it part of my Christmas tradition that I buy new Christmas books every year.

It really puts me in a festive mood!

Have you read any Christmas books? Any recommendations?

– Hannah ❤

Post Trip Feelings.

Dear Journal,

Today I want to talk to you about my weekend away. Last weekend I went away with my family. As soon as I left work on Friday afternoon I headed straight home and got ready to start the weekend.

I was especially excited to go away. I felt that it would be a great opportunity to recharge. And I was not wrong. The weekend was great. I had a fantastic time!

I didn’t schedule my time. I didn’t get stressed about not planning my day. I didn’t set any alarms. I spent my time writing new blog posts and reading. It was the most relaxing weekend ever!

I’m glad that I went and not having the internet for the entire time was refreshing too. I mean, I love the internet, but I think sometimes I just need time away from it all. I was back at work today but I was feeling incredibly relaxed and I’ve had a fantastic day.

I find it especially hard to just switch off and relax without getting really anxious about the possibility of ‘wasting valuable time’… but this weekend. I did it! I ACTUALLY DID IT. I’m so proud of myself. I finally feeling like I’m making so much progress with bettering myself into the person I want to be.

I hope you had a fantastic weekend too! ❤

Things I’m Loving This February.

It’s that time of month again. It’s time to discuss some of the things I’ve been loving this February.

Admittedly I don’t have as many things to include in this months list. I didn’t want to repeat some of the things that I had included in my previous favourite posts.

I’m not usually a big fan of tic tac’s. I was in the convenience shop earlier this month I came across these and I had to try them.

They are lovely and so refreshing!

Now I set myself a little bit of a reading challenge this year. I feel like I’m doing so well so far. I’m really pleased with myself. This month I came across these two books. Let me tell you now, they are the most influential books I’ve ever read. I had heard of The Subtle Art of Not Giving A F*ck a couple of months ago and hadn’t had the time to purchase it and give it a read. I’m about halfway through it and I’m just amazed by the content. Seriously, they’re both worth a read.

I wrote a little about Reasons To Stay Alive here.

kakaotalk_photo_2017-02-26-21-26-26_42

I’m in love with the scent of this shower gel. It was so cheap too, I think I bought it for £1 from Superdrug. I will definitely be repurchasing this!

kakaotalk_photo_2017-02-26-21-46-40_9

I’ve been really into getting baths this month. I’ve found them incredibly relaxing. I’ve found it’s been that much more relaxing with a candle a face mask and a good book.  So this is my favourite candle at the minute. I bought it because of ‘H’ of course! :p

So that’s it for my February favourites. ❤

What have you been loving this February?

#TimeToTalk

kakaotalk_photo_2017-02-02-19-01-42_19

Today is Time To Talk Day. I’m so glad that a day like this is happening. It’s so important for people to talk about mental illness. There is no need for there to be such a stigma regarding mental health. And people certainly shouldn’t feel that they need to hide away and struggle in silence.

Having experienced both depression and anxiety I know just how important it is to talk about how you’re feeling. It also so important to surround yourself with supportive and positive people.

It’s important to surround yourself with people who are there for you, and people who will ask you how you are and what you’ve been up to. You need to surround yourself with people who you can talk to about everything and anything.

Mental illness can often make you feel like everything is your fault and that you can’t do anything right. This is not true, it’s just a symptom of the illness itself.

Mental illness does not define who you are.

You are not your illness.

I would just like to mention a book that I’ve recently started reading ‘Reasons To Stay Alive’ written by Matt Haig. It’s a fantastic book about the real struggles of depression, anxiety and panic disorder. I highly suggest any person who is struggling with those types of things to give the book a read. It’s really insightful. I would also suggest people who have family members, friends, boyfriends, girlfriends who are struggling with mental health to also give it a read. It will offer a great understanding about mental health to better understand your loved one who is experiencing these illnesses.

I hope that you’re having a great day today. If you are, I’m so happy for you. Keep doing what you’re doing. 🙂

If you’re not having a good day and would like to talk to someone. I’m here to listen if you ever would like to talk. Shoot me an e-mail at: Hannah_Agutter@hotmail.co.uk

And remember, you are beautiful and strong. You are not alone and you can get through this. Some days are worse than others, but I promise… everything passes, even the bad days. ❤

P.S. Also, 7 cups is a fantastic website where you can talk freely to people about how you’re feeling. Please stay safe and reach out if you’re struggling.

What’s In My Bag.

Recently I bought a new bag from New Look. I really needed a handbag, I didn’t want to keep carrying a backpack around with me all the time.

kakaotalk_photo_2017-01-05-11-14-58_16

It’s very nice to be able to walk around with a smaller bag. So today I will be showing you what I carry around with me.

One of the things I wanted to do in the New Year is stay as organised as possible. That goes for my bad too!

img_3967

  • Organiser

I can’t leave the house without my organiser. I keep everything in it. Everything from important tasks and dates, to blog and video ideas, to my habit tracker. It has everything! I much prefer to write things down on paper rather than keeping it in my notes or calendar on my phone.

  • Book

I’m trying to read more this year! I much prefer to sit and read whilst traveling rather than sat reading at home.

  • Iphone

Need I say more?

  • Camera

I like to take my camera everywhere. You never know when you might see something you want to video. It’s best to keep it on me at all times!

  • Keys

Why would I leave the house without these. 😂

  • Hand Sanitiser

I don’t like my hands being dirty! And the scent smells amazing! 🙂

  • Lip Balm

Especially during the winter I tend to get really dry lips. I try to carry this around with me all the time and apply it as often as I can.

  • Lip Tint

A little bit of lip tint makes everyone feel better. Even if you’re not wearing makeup that day, it’s sometimes nice to just apply a little tint. It’s in a really pretty pink colour. 🙂

  • Headphones

I can’t go anywhere without listening to music. Music helps me think and organise my thoughts. It also helps me to stay motivated.

  • Vocal Study Cards

A little bit like reading, I like to study whilst traveling. I feel that I end up memorising more.

So that’s all. I’ve tried to keep it quite minimum.

Let me know your thoughts. What is in your bag?

The Gratitude Challenge.

This year I will be taking part in the 52 week gratitude challenge. I will be uploading posts for this challenge every Tuesday at 12pm.

Why I am Taking Part?

I think it’s very easy to not look and appreciate the things that are around us. I decided to take part in this challenge to force myself to really look and appreciate the things that I often take for granted.

It’s too easy to get caught up in the stress and demands of day to day life. And quite often, it’s easy to look at our lives in a very negative way. There are often some very good and positive things in our lives that we often overlook.

I plan for this challenge to change the way that I look at things. I want to become a more positive and optimistic person.

I hope that you will enjoy reading these posts.

Next weeks post is about someone special.

P.S. If you are taking part in any challenges, I would love to give them a read. Please feel free to post the links below. 🙂 ❤

My December Favourites.

The year is coming to an end so I thought that I would write a post about some of the things that I have been loving. Now admittedly, quite a few of these are Christmas presents, however… they are things that I already love 😉

Now this scarf, I think I’ve had it a few years now, but I swear its something that I go back to year after year. It’s so cosy and warm. I love it! I think I bought it from New Look.

kakaotalk_photo_2016-12-27-14-43-26_92

The Twelve Days of Dash and Lily. I’ve been reading this book on and off throughout December. I’m only about halfway through… I’m a slow reader. But I’m loving it so far.

kakaotalk_photo_2016-12-27-14-43-07_28

To be honest, I’ve had my Filofax planner for a few years now. But, I haven’t used it in a couple of years. When I returned from Korea, I decided that I wanted to get back into planning and organising. I got myself onto the Filofax website and bought myself the 2017 diary inserts (week across two days) and a month across two pages as well as a 6 month to view year vertical planner. I bought some wash tape from Etsy and Ebay. Then I began decorating my planner. 🙂 I can’t wait to start using it.

kakaotalk_photo_2016-12-27-14-43-08_99

Zoella’s Body Mist – It was a gift from my sister. I love it, it smells so good. 🙂

kakaotalk_photo_2016-12-27-14-43-16_41

Okay! I bought this camera a few months ago. I’ve been into making lots of videos this month. I’m wanting to get back into filmmaking again after the New Year begins. Check out my current YouTube Channel here: HANNAH AGUTTER

I will be uploading more videos in the New Year.

The journal is new. It was a gift from my sister. I’m going to get back into writing a daily journal. I think it’s a great way to express feelings.

kakaotalk_photo_2016-12-27-14-43-25_42

I’ve been looking for a nice little pair of black healed shoes. These were a gift from my mum. I love them! They are exactly what I have been looking for. I cannot wait to start wearing them.

kakaotalk_photo_2016-12-27-14-43-23_68

This was also a gift for Christmas. I have been debating getting it for a while. It. Is. Beautiful!

kakaotalk_photo_2016-12-27-14-43-11_70

This month I have really been into painting my nails. These were my Christmas nails. I have been painting my nails weekly 🙂 I think they look pretty.

kakaotalk_photo_2016-12-24-13-33-23_87

My friend bought me this. I use it for drinking juice. It’s so cute and Christmassy.

kakaotalk_photo_2016-12-27-14-43-21_90

That’s it for my December favourites.

What things have you been loving this month?
