I wanted to start this post off as a dear journal post, however as I thought more about what I wanted to write I thought that a lot of you would relate and be feeling the same too.
Its so easy to get caught up in pushing yourself to do more, or do better. I am also very guilty of this.
I have just finished a at home yoga session with one of my favourite yoga instructors on YouTube. The session was aimed for times when you might be feeling stressed. I guess its not secret to those around me that I put a huge amount of pressure on myself to do more and be better so this session seemed appropriate.
I’ve made it my daily mission over the past week or so to try and not stress the little things and OMG has it been difficult! Its so easy to allow myself to fly off the handle about bits on the floor, and washing left on the side and don’t get me started on the time I thought we had ran out of mayonnaise. I’m on a bit of a tangent now though, the point is, life is too short.
All of the stress that we carry around on a daily basis ultimately causes us more emotional and physical pain in tbe future.
I like the saying, live for today…
Because its true. Just do your best and remind yourself that you’re doing your best and you deserve to be loved.

- Progress with doing yoga for stress management and flexibility.
- Upload more consistently on my blog and Instagram.
- Cut back on caffeine.
- Read two books.
- Treat myself more kindly.
What goals are you setting yourself this month?
Well hello there! I decided that I would upload something food related this week. For two different reasons if I’m completely honest.
Firstly, it’s been that time of month for me, and believe me when I say I have wanted to eat absolutely everything I have in the cupboards.
Secondly, these are literally my favourite crisps right now. I love them!
I would love to know what types of crisps you guys are loving right now.

It’s so easy to get into the rut of believing everything that your mind tells you. From experience I think it’s better to always follow your gut feeling.
For instance, there have been so many times in my life over the past year where I’ve thought, “should I do this?” or, “but what if?”
My conclusion is, life is too short to think like that. Go for it! It’s not a good decision, most likely there is another way to look at the situation. There is always a way to ‘fix’ a situation.
- Keep a positive mind.
- Do your best.
- Keep fighting.
- You can do this!

Hello everyone! How is your week going so far?
- I can’t please everyone.
- Embracing who I am.
- Finding what I love and doing more of it.
- I’m learning to see my struggles as lessons.
- I’m learning what the most important things in life are.
- Getting my university degree wasn’t all that.
- It’s okay that I don’t enjoy drinking alcohol.
- It’s okay if people don’t like me.
- It’s good to have opinions.
- Coffee is as amazing!
- Traveling makes me excited but also anxious.
- I deserve love and happiness.
- I really do love baking.
- It’s okay to ask for help.
- It’s okay to cry.
- I’m learning how to manage my mental health.
- I don’t need to be ashamed of my scars.
- I find yoga therapeutic.
- It’s okay to not stress about the ‘little things’
- I have so many amazing people in my life.
- Someday I would like to have children.
- The idea of marriage no longer scares me.
- I will always be sensitive and that’s okay!
- It’s okay to take breaks and doing nothing is actually okay!
- Keeping a journal has/is very useful for my mental health.
So that’s it! 25 things I’ve learnt in 25 years. Some of the things on that list, I am still working on and will be mostly likely working on them on a daily basis. It feels so good to see the achievements and positives in my life.
At times it can be so easy to get bogged down with the realities of life that we forget to look after ourselves and appreciate the journey that we are taking.
Every decision we make and every tough day we get through is leading to something greater. We need to keep fighting because in the end, we will get to live the life we so deserve.

Today I want to share with you a few of the products I’ve been loving to use before I go to bed. There is nothing better than getting into bed having done a full pampering session on yourself. A few weeks ago I picked up this Clean and Clear blackhead clearing daily scrub. I tend to get a fair few blackheads around my nose area and it makes me feel quite self-conscious. After using this for a few days I could already notice a difference. It’s also worth mentioning that this product is oil free. (hands up if you’re an oily t-zone person) I like to do this scrub in an evening time as i can let my skin breath overnight rather than putting makeup over the top straight away.
There is something so therapeutic about putting a face mask on, lying down on your bed and reading a good book. I know it’s recommended to leave the face mask on for between 10-15 minutes, but I would be lying if I didn’t tell you that it’s likely I leave it on for 30 minutes.
That enough about your face eh? Lets move on to body! I’ve been using (yes I know) another Soap and Glory product. What can I say! They have great products. My boyfriend’s mum bought me this as a Christmas gift and I have to tell you, it is one of the best body moisturisers that I’ve ever used. It smells amazing and it leaves my skin feeling incredibly soft.

Confidence is always something that I’ve struggled with. Over the past year or so I’ve been trying my upmost best to build up my confidence.
I often feel like I am trying to prove to myself that I can do things. I can go to the shops by myself. I can get on that train by myself. To be quite honest I feel a bit strange writing this down because if you’ve followed me for a while you will know that I moved away for university. I also went and lived in South Korea by myself.
So for someone who has lived alone and managed to move halfway across the world, how can they struggle with confidence?
Well to tell you the truth I go through phases of being confident and then being withdrawn. Some days I feel like I can do anything. Then other days it’s like I don’t have any confidence and I just want to hide away.
It’s very frustrating, I want to be confident.
To build my confidence I have tried to make myself do small things. Maybe I will walk to the shop by myself. Maybe I will go and sit in a coffee shop for an hour or so. or maybe I will get on a bus and go to a nearby town for the day. Like I said, some days all of those things are so easy and enjoyable to accomplish and I quite often don’t even think about it. Other days its a chore to do those things.
One of the things I learnt whilst doing CBT was to reward the things that you find difficult. I try and set myself goals of the things I want to achieve. Once I achieve a goal I make sure that I reward myself for doing it. My CBT therapist always emphasised the importance of this technique as it trains the brain to recognise the goal as a positive thing rather than something to be anxious/scared about.
Over the coming week I’m going to be working on taking walks by myself. You might be aware that I’ve just moved to a new place so I’m working on making myself feel more comfortable here. I think this is a very positive step for me so I’m looking forward to achieving this goal. I think that it will do wonders for my confidence. 😀

We all have those days where we have had a relatively good day but for some reason we end up feeling a bit meh.
Today was one of those days for me. I had a great day at work, I came home and had a snack, I watched some Netflix then before I knew it I didn’t feel great. I’m not sure what made me feel like that. I picked myself up and did a little bit of yoga. I always find that doing yoga allows me to stretch out my stresses. I’ve been feeling quite body conscious recently and doing yoga today has helped me feel a bit more at ease with myself.
On those days where yoga just isn’t enough I find that writing down the positive things in my life really helps.
Here are 10 things I that I tell myself when I’m feeling down:
✨ I am enough.
✨ Things will get better.
✨ I have overcome so much. I can overcome this too.
✨ I am my biggest investment.
✨ Keep being me.
✨ I have achieved so much.
✨ I am worthy.
✨ Take time to love myself.
✨ Do more of what makes me happy.
✨ Treat myself how I would treat others.
So those a just a few things I try to tell myself when I’m feeling down. I feel that by telling myself things like that on a regular bases really helps with my self-esteem and my confidence.

I’m hoping by starting to film and upload videos I can build my self-confidence. I struggle with speaking on camera but it’s always something I have wanted to do! I love making videos and I love to share my experiences and thoughts with other people.
I’m thinking that starting this channel will be a great focus for me.

Hey there! It’s been a pretty busy week over here! I did my first full week at work which was great. I’m loving working in a coffee shop. It’s so intimate and friendly. And of course, THE COFFEE! I’m back at work tomorrow, I can’t wait to see what this working week brings.
Today I had a day off, as did the boyfriend. We woke up kind of early, got ready and made our way to McDonalds for have breakfast. I feel like I’ve not had breakfast there in a while. We decided that we would do a big food shop today so after breakfast we made our way to Lidl.
It was a productive shop I think. Being an adult is strange…
It’s starting to get a bit warmer too which is great so it was nice walking between the shops. I’m truly sick of the rainy and cold weather.
Every Sunday I try and do a big clean up but today I wanted to do a big spring clean of the apartment. That means, washing up done, laundry done, bedding changed, bathroom thoroughly cleaned, etc.
It’s so nice to get ready for the coming week. Tidy house, tidy mind I always say! I like to be able to go to bed on a Sunday night and be able to get ready for work without my mind feeling cluttered because the apartment is messy.
On Sundays (in preparation for Monday) I often like to:
✨ Do a hair/face mask
✨ Meal prep for the following day/week
✨ Wash my makeup brushes
✨ Prepare my clothes for the following day
✨ Write in my journal
✨ Read a book
Those are just a few things I like to do to prepare to have a successful start to the week. A little self-care and pampering always puts me in a good mood and ready to have a productive week.
